I love my Chinese antiques and I love French & Swedish antiques too. The pale and open feel. It makes me feel like living above clouds.
All these pix are taken of designer Shannon Bowers' house by Veranda.
"I'm a purist," Shannon says. "For me, colors found in nature—like robin's egg blue, light sand and the lavender of hydrangeas—are soothing. Because this house feels so open, the indoors and outdoors are married."
The cute simple flower arrangement in tin cups melts pale green and blue together!
Except the console table, I love them all.
I think any child growing up from this room will become a natural interior designer.
And I also hope he/she won't break that horse bike.
Swedish 18th-c. library table with 19th- and 20th-c. Chinese jars. French light fixture. Pair of 19th-c. fauteuils.
Couldn't be better.
My mom would say she can't cook in this kitchen. Too beautiful.
Although most of the antique Gustavian chairs & settees are so painful to sit for me, but they are just gorgeous. Who wouldn't get up early to have breakfast here?
If one day I don't have to worry about $, I will open a big store filled with understated French and Gustavian antique furniture to go with my Chinese antiques :)
