French Industrial Style Furnishing

I personally LOVE industrial style furnishing.
Why are people so crazy about French style?
I think the French really can find beauty in any ordinary piece.
This 1900's industrial table feels like Eifel Tower.

Cool table! But I guess it will be too cool to use in the winter :)

Unexpectedly beautiful.

Do you have any special antique cabinet can be used as a sideboard?

" I don't want to use any ordinary sideboards. Do you have any special antique cabinet can be used as a sideboard? "
This is one of the questions I have been often asked.
YES! We have.

Some designers even use them as sinks!

How relaxing is this? LArge night stand.

Great for TV cabinet too! We can also use reclaimed Elmwood to custom make any size, style & color to match your decor.

A few samples of antique cabinets to show you what we have for you to use as sideboards or TV cabinets :)
 Antique large blanket chest. Gorgeous!

Great for storage in small space.

Great for sideboard/ TV cabinet/ dresser or in any room!

Original darker brown finish is faded and left beautiful patina.

Even antique French butcher block can be used as a sink. How cool is that?

Chinese Chippendale

What could be a better example for Eurasian furniture than these three Chippendale chairs. It proves that art and craftsmanship can harmonize with each other even when they come from two very different parts of the world.

Chinese 19th c. Cast Iron Seated Guanyin Figure

Circa 1900
Chinese cast iron figure of Guanyin(Chinese God of Mercy), wearing bodhisattva garments and ornaments while seated in a pose of royal ease with one leg pendent.

the smiling face framed by a five-point diadem fronted by a small figure of Amitabha (Emituo-fo) above curling ribbons

his hands in the 'gift-granting' (varada) and meditation (dhyana) gestures

Even the back is so detailed.

Soft & peaceful look with beautiful accessories. The movement of the clothes is smooth and natural (hard to tell she was made of hard metal :)

Shanghai Exhibition in SF Asian Art Museum

Just came back from Asian Art Museum. Fabulous Shanghai Exhibition.

This exhibition features more than 130 oil paintings, Shanghai Deco furniture and rugs, revolutionary posters, works of fashion, movie clips, and contemporary installations. They are significant visual documents of the city’s rich and ever-changing culture.

I personally love Shanghai Deco Club Chairs very much. I still remembered I saw one Deco Ma-Jiang table with 4 original chairs in southern China. The seats and backs are double-sided. Velvet side for winter; wooden side for summer. How cool is that? But I did not buy them because of the price. But I have been regret since then.

Circa 1900
Guang-dong province, China

Beautifully glazed Chinese antique porcelain summer pillows. One is Blue Sky After Rain, the other one is Water Melon Green.

Both ends have coin and flowers design.
They must be super comfortable for your neck, otherwise how could my Chinese ancestors sleep on them every summer?
